The INAS Global Games are the world’s biggest sports event for athletes with an intellectual impairment. More than 1,000 athletes from all around the globe gather every four years to compete for medals.
Two Canadians traveled to Brisbane, Australia to participate in the 2019 INAS Global Games. Both Steven Dunn and Mike Drozdowski had a wonderful time representing Canada on an international stage.
Mike was so happy to carry the Canadian flag during the opening ceremony. He said “people were cheering and clapping for me, even thought I wasn’t from Australia. It was unbelievable and I felt like being on cloud nine.”
Steven Dunn add that “It was a great experience I believe for the both of us as we both developed within our roles!!!”
