The Ontario TT Association (OTTA) will be hosting again this year the WTT Youth Contender tournament in Mississauga, ON, 15-18 May 2026.

This is a World Table Tennis (WTT) event and under the control of the WTT. The Ontario TT Association is the organizer and host of the tournament. Table Tennis Canada has the responsibility to register Canadian players in the WTT entry system. This is done by our Operations Manager, Melanie Ostashek: melanie@ttcanada.ca

ELIGIBILITY

As an exception, and because the tournament is in Canada, Canadian players can enter without Ratings limitations. Therefore, the eligibility requirements for Canadian players are as follows:

  • Be a member of a provincial/territorial association
  • Meet the age eligibility for your event (U11, U13, U15, U17, U19)
  • Be registered with the ITTF*
  • Citizenship is not a condition, therefore, players who meet the age restriction conditions and who are members of their provincial/territorial association are eligible to enter.

* IMPORTANT: For those players who wish to enter and are not yet registered with the ITTF, please contact Melanie Ostashek by e-mail: melanie@ttcanada.ca

EVENTS
There will be age-group events in singles for both genders: U19, U17, U15, U13 and U11, plus XD for U19 and U15.

Please indicate the following in your e-mail:

  • Events you wish to enter
  • Your name as it appears on the Canadian Rating list
  • Your Mixed Doubles partner if you are entering the U15 or U19 Mixed Doubles

The WTT has a restriction on the number of players per event. If the number of Canadian players entered exceeds the limit, they will be reduced according to ITTF Ranking, then according to the Canadian Ratings order (latest Rating available at the time).

CANADIAN ENTRY DEADLINE

  • Players who are NOT registered with the ITTF, the deadline to enter is 1 April 2026
  • Players who are already registered with the ITTF the deadline to enter is: 8 April 2026

REGISTRATION FEES

  • There is a WTT Registration Fee of $315 Canadian Dollars (CAD)
  • There is also a TTCAN Registration Fee of CAD$ 50 for National Team members, and $100 for others.
  • Payment is to be made to melanie@ttcanada.ca by e-mail transfer.
  • The entry will only be considered complete upon receipt of the payment by the deadline date ($365 or $415)
  • Please indicate the name of the player entering in the memo of the e-mail transfer. If you are not accepted by the WTT into the tournament, all the fees will be reimbursed to you.
