The Table Tennis Canada 2022 Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held on Thursday 23 June 2022 electronically via ZOOM. All delegates were present in person (17) or by proxy (2).

Here are the main decisions taken by the AGM:

  • Received the Board of Director’s activity report for 2021-2022.
  • Approved the Audited Financial Statements for 2021-22.
  • Concluded the 2019-2022 “Deficit Reduction Plan” successfully.
  • Received the 2022-23 TTCAN Budget.
  • Appointed “Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton” as TTCAN’s auditors for 2022-23.
  • Set the TTCAN membership fees for 2023 (no increase).
  • Endorsed the Athletes Commission election for 2022-2024 (2-year period).
  • Appointed the Nominating Committee for 2022-23.
  • Appointed Ron Edwards as a member of the Audit & Finance Committee.
  • Decided to split the Canadian Championships into separate Junior and Senior Championships to be held at different dates.
  • Charged the Board of Directors with the responsibility to set a date and place for the Canadian ParaTT Championships.
  • Agreed to hold 2 post-AGM webinars on the topics of “DBI Planning Method” and “Target Group Team 28/32”.

The Chair/President, Adham Sharara, expressed his hope that the next AGM in June 2023 is held in-person.
