The AGM was held electronically on 12 June 2021 and was attended by 11 Members Council delegates, 7 Board members, 3 staff, 1 program manager, 3 Committee Chairs and 3 guest observers for a total of 28 attendees plus one proxy.
The Board of Directors submitted its report to the AGM.
The AGM approved the 2020-2021 Audited Financial Statements and the 2021-2022 Budget.
The AGM decided not to increase the 2022 membership fees to the member provincial/territorial associations.
Corrections and small adjustments to the Bylaws were made to remove errors and duplications, and to reduce delegate nominations timelines to future AGMs.
The Athletes Commission Chair reported on the activities of the AC.
The list of Committee, Commissions and working groups was received. Members of the Nominating Committee and Audit Committee were appointed.
Rob Chan, Chandra Madhosingh and Attila Mosonyi were elected to the Board of Director as Vice Presidents for a 2-year term, joining Najam Chishti (VP), Thorsten Gohl (VP) and Adham Sharara (Chair/President). Peter Isherwood remains a Board member representing the Athletes Commission.
The Canadian Championships was awarded to Quebec in the city of Montreal to be held from 30 September to 3 October 2021.
Kevin Murphy was re-elected as Chair of the Members Council for a 2-year term.
The winners of the 2021 TTCAN Awards were recognized and congratulated:
- Joyce Xu (ON) – Athlete of the Year
- Maxime Surprenant (QC) – Coach of the Year
- Erica Ans (NS) – Official of the Year
- Art O’Malley (PE) – Contributor of the Year
