The Canadian women won GOLD medals in team, doubles, and singles in the age group 55-59.

May Hui Huang said after receiving the Gold medals: “We are glad to report that we, mature adults, still can represent Canada and perform well in this competition. Hopefully we will help promote good health for the seniors in the future.

It was a great experience. Barbara Chiu stopped playing for a while. This is her first tournament in many years” May Hui Huang said after the tournament.

Barbara Chiu of Vancouver is a well-known player and many times a member of the Canadian Women’s team in the 1980s. She also won the Canadian Championships several times. It is great to see her playing again in Veteran events.
