The 2025 Pan American Youth Table Tennis Championships are underway in Rosario, Argentina, bringing together athletes from across the continent. Canada is proudly represented in both the U15 and U19 categories, with teams of athletes and dedicated coaches giving their all on the international stage.

Beyond Wins and Losses

On Day 1, we asked some of our athletes about one small goal they set for themselves beyond winning or losing. Their answers reflect the spirit of sport and the value of experiences gained along the way:

  • Kenny Ly (U19): Focused on managing rest and applying lessons from past tournaments, making adjustments to improve each match.

  • Frederick Zhang (U19): Overcame nerves by drawing energy from his teammates, reminding himself to give his best effort regardless of the outcome.

  • Sunny Zhang (U15): Wanted to meet new people, make friends, and enjoy the opportunity to compete internationally.

  • Olivia Huang (U15): Set her goal simply to have fun, play her game, and give her full effort, win or lose.
