Canada had a standout showing at the North American Championships, with our athletes delivering big performances across multiple events and bringing home major titles.
Edward Ly was the story of the tournament, capturing an incredible three championships. He claimed gold in Men’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles, showing consistency, focus, and confidence across every match he played.
Mo Zhang added another highlight for Team Canada by winning the Mixed Doubles title. Her performance once again showed why she continues to be a leader on the international stage, combining experience with sharp play when it mattered most. She withdrew in the Women’s Single competition
In Men’s Doubles, Laurent Jutras‑Vigneault stood on the top step of the podium, earning the Men’s Doubles championship and adding another gold medal to Canada’s tally.
Canadian Olivia Huang made it into the quarter final stage in the Women’s Single, loosing against the later winner Sally Moyland. Third place in Women’s Doubles for Jiayi Nie and Olivia Huang.
Together, these results reflect a strong and confident Canadian presence at the North American Championships. From singles to doubles to mixed events, Canadian athletes showed depth, teamwork, and competitive fire.
