It is great to see Table Tennis Canada’s continued investment in coach development reflected on the international stage.
At the 2026 ITTF Americas Youth Championships in Guatemala, Canada is supported by a coaching team that is fully NCCP Competition Development certified. Their presence at one of the most important youth competitions in the Americas demonstrates the value of building a strong pathway for coaches alongside the development of our athletes.
Competition Development certification prepares coaches to work with athletes in higher-performance environments, strengthening areas such as planning, leadership, performance analysis, athlete development, and competition preparation. Seeing Canadian coaches continuing their development and then putting that learning into practice at an international championship is exactly what coach development is about.
Congratulations to our coaches representing Canada in Guatemala. Certified, prepared, and ready to take on the Americas! Good luck to the entire Canadian team at the 2026 ITTF Americas Youth Championships!
