The Board of Directors of TTCAN met electronically (ZOOM) on 8 September 2020.

Here are some of the highlights:

  • Accepted the postponement of the Canadian ParaTT Championships as proposed by the ParaTT Committee. The new dates will be announced in due time.
  • Accepted the launch of a series of webinars regarding “Gender Equity” to start with an awareness webinar in October 2020. The exact date will be announced soon.
  • The Board also accepted two exiting proposals from the group assigned by the Board to re-activate competitions (Alayna Chan, Remi Tremblay, Dejan Papic, Marles Martins, and Board representative Thortsen Gohl) to stage two new competitions. One is a singles competition and one is a team competition. The details will be announced soon on our website, Facebook and by direct e-mail to all concerned. These are creative solutions, respecting all health and safety measures related to the current pandemic.
  • The Board amended the current Bylaws to remove contradictions, fix some of the language and met all requirements of the Canada Not-for-profit Act. The amended Bylaws will now require approval by the Annual General Meeting later this month.
