MEN: The winner of the Men’s Trials will be selected as the 3^rd member of the Canadian Men’s Team at the Olympics.

WOMEN: The top 2 women will be selected to take part in the Pan American Olympic qualification tournament in Lima, Peru in May 2024.

WHO CAN ENTER?

Men and Women Senior National Team members
Men with a rating of 2200 or more, and women with a rating of 1600 or more
One man and one woman from each province/territory, regardless of Rating level, entered by the member association.

The 2024 World Team Championships (WTTTC) will be held in Busan, Korea, on 16-25 February 2024.

SELECTION:

Three women and three men are pre-selected as follows:

Women: 1. Mo Zhang, 2. Ivy Liao and 3. Jessie Xu
Men: 1. Eugene Wang, 2. Edward Ly and 3. Siméon Martin
Confirmed National Team players will compete in the selection tournament (trials) to be held on 9-10 December 2023 at the My TT Club in Mississauga.
A limited number of non-national team players with a minimum Rating of 2200 for men and 1600 for women have been accepted in the tournament.
The winner of the trials will get the 4th spot (partially funded) and the 2nd from the trials will get the 5th spot on the team (self-funded) for each gender

More information:

Out of town (more than 100 km) non-National Team players who make the team will be reimbursed their travel cost.
The general schedule is as follows:

Friday 8 December: Practice 6 to 10 pm
Saturday 9 December: Competition 9 am to 9 pm
Sunday 10 December: Competition 9 am to 4 pm
