Thank you very much for your support and encouragement.
It’s my honour to represent Canada in a sport that I am truly passionate about and be part of such an amazing team. I feel so fortunate to have the opportunity to compete at my fourth Parapan American Games.
I am very grateful to have been selected as the flag bearer for Canada at the Lima 2019 Parapan American Games, leading 150 Canadian athletes into the stadium. Words cannot explain how I feel about this privilege, and it is one of the proudest moments of my life.
Since joining the Para Table Tennis National Team in 2007, I’ve never looked back. TTCAN has helped me tremendously throughout my career and has led me to where I am today. I’d like to thank everyone in TTCAN who has supported me through the years. You’ve inspired me to work hard, push the boundaries of my comfort zone, and always strive for more achievements.
Although I wasn’t able to capture a gold medal for Canada in Lima 2019, I’m proud to have received a bronze. I learned a lot from my experience in Lima and I now look forward to another opportunity to earn my ticket to Tokyo 2020, whether through a wildcard or another Paralympic qualifying event. I’m focused on one goal – to do my best and make Canada proud. I cannot wait to see what the future holds.
