Born and raised in Montreal, Sophie Gauthier has started playing Table Tennis at a young age of 6 years at the Repentigny Table Tennis Club. She now belongs to the LY Table Tennis Academy in Montreal under the supervision of her coach Maxime Surprenant. 

What would be three words that describe the young national team athlete? That is an easy answer for Sophie “hard working, serious and critical.” She continues talking about the challenges that she encountered that made her the person she is today. “During the pandemic, I realized that most of the issues that stressed me weren’t that important. Today I try to be happy and take advantage of what I have.” What an amazing attitude, and we are sure that good things will happen for Sophie.
