The Canadian Table Tennis community will be heading east in 2027 as the New Brunswick Table Tennis Association has officially been awarded the hosting rights for the 2027 Canadian Table Tennis Championships. The event will take place in Moncton, with proposed dates of July 14 to 23, 2027, at the Moncton Coliseum.
With three large arena halls, sports grade lighting, industrial air conditioning, full flooring options, high speed wifi, meeting rooms, on site canteen service, and ample parking, the Moncton Coliseum offers everything required to deliver a high performance national championship environment. The NBTTA has also confirmed its commitment to purchasing all required competition equipment including ITTF approved tables, barriers, practice tables, and scoring systems.
This is a milestone moment for table tennis in Atlantic Canada. It builds on steady growth throughout the region in athlete development, coach education, officials training, and community engagement. With support expected from municipal and provincial partners as well as local sponsors, the NBTTA is preparing to deliver an event that will leave a lasting impact.

The NBTTA has worked diligently in recent years to expand its pool of trained officials, running both umpire and referee clinics to strengthen local expertise. A mix of club, provincial, and national level officials will support the Championships, with additional help anticipated from neighbouring provinces. Local and regional media have already shown interest in covering the event, demonstrating the positive impact this championship will have across the region.
The New Brunswick Table Tennis Association has long been recognized for its hospitality, passion, and community centered approach. Hosting the 2027 Canadian Championships will not only highlight the province’s ability to stage a world class event, it will also energize table tennis growth throughout Atlantic Canada. As the NBTTA noted in its bid, this opportunity will help promote and grow table tennis not only in New Brunswick, but across the region as a whole.
