To be ready for Table Tennis Canada’s future competition program, a special “Tournament Enhancement Initiative” was launched to provide high quality tournament equipment, including ITTF approved tables and flooring, to the provincial/territorial association at a cost sharing basis. The first tables arrived in New Brunswick.

This is a great partnership between STIGA, Table Tennis Canada and the New Brunswick Table Tennis Association bringing high quality equipment into the Province. President Virgilio Santos was definitely excited “We have received all the tables, nets and barriers from STIGA. Our table tennis community has shown great teamwork while moving the tables and barriers between the cities of Moncton, Saint John and Bathurst (East, South and North of the Province). As well as assembling them at each club.”

“A few months ago, the TTCAN Board started a new initiative called “Tournament Enhancement Initiative”. By providing a special one-time grant, TTCAN offered the provincial/territorial associations the opportunity to acquire top level equipment for their training and competition programs at a low cost subsidized by TTCAN.

The New Brunswick TTA is one of 7 member associations to benefit from this special program. It is very pleasing to see top quality equipment being used by the NBTTA and its clubs in training. We look forward to see this equipment being used in NBTTA’s tournaments as soon as New Brunswick returns to competition when allowed by the health authorities.”

“I am looking forward to witness its impacts over the next Table Tennis generation of our Province” says Virgilio, and we couldn’t agree more. Great things will happen and we are looking forward seeing these tables in action in the years to come!!!
