For a second time this year, Émilia Cabrera Mallette, member of the EDI committee, and Karine Dumontier, manager of the EDI program at Table Tennis Canada, were invited to present at a major national conference. In fact, last November they presented the Women in Table Tennis campaign at the Coaching Association of Canada’s Sports Leadership conference in Regina, Saskatchewan. The comments were very complimentary. This time in Gatineau they brilliantly presented the main initiatives that the committee has undertaken. This is how, in addition to the Women in Table Tennis campaign, they presented the coaches mentoring program, the national girls training camp and various collaborations since the creation of the committee in 2021.
Finally, let us highlight the heartfelt testimony of three participants which allowed those present to feel the positive impact of these different initiatives. We warmly thank Kathleen Cai, Rose Huang and Phuong Nguyen for their generous contribution.
Table Tennis Canada is proud of its successes and encourages the entire Canadian table tennis community to support these initiatives, which are essential to the vitality of Table Tennis in the country.
