The Fédération de tennis de table du Québec offers players of Quebec team the opportunity to participate in an international tournament on the European scene and thus gain international experience. Indeed, players from Table Tennis Academy of Quebec, the high performance provincial program, were invited to participate in the Junior and Cadet Open Championship tournament that is part of the well known “World Junior Circuit” and in the international Safir tournament in Örebro , in Sweden from February 19th to 23th . This tournament has the advantage of combining 2 tournaments and therefore maximizing the number of high-level matches which convinced FTTQ managers to choose this event among the well full filled ITTF calendar
The Quebec delegation will be made up of 8 players and a coach. Siméon Martin, Tommy Xu, Marko Medjugorac, Pierre-Anthony Gauthier, Émile Joncas, Katherine Morin, Émilia Cabrera Mallette and Sophie Gauthier will be supported by coach Maxime Surprenant. We are happy to see initiatives of this kind for our athletes development and we know that it will be an enriching experience for the entire Quebec delegation to participate in this high-level European tournament.
We wish them a great tournament and we are sure they will represent Quebec and Canada very well.
