Table Tennis Canada is pleased to announce the launch of its updated National Awards Program, with nominations now open for the 2026 awards. The expanded program recognizes the outstanding athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, and leaders who help grow and strengthen Table Tennis across Canada. Whether contributing at the club, provincial, territorial, national, or international level, these individuals play an important role in building our sport and inspiring future generations.
Over the past several months, the Awards Committee has reviewed and updated the National Awards Program to create a more comprehensive and transparent recognition process. The revised program includes expanded award categories, updated nomination criteria, and a new online nomination process to make it easier for members across Canada to recognize deserving individuals.
Among the additions to the program are new awards recognizing:
- Junior Athletes
- Most Improved Players
- Para Table Tennis
- Long-term leadership through the President’s Award
“The Awards Committee is pleased to announce the updated annual awards that will be presented at the Canadian National Championships. We have added a few new awards and made a small change to the nomination process to keep it simple. We apologize for the delay in sharing this information. Please review the nomination form and nominate only one player in each category. We Look forward to receive many nominations from PTSO.” – Najam Chishti Chair of the Awards Committee.
Nominations are welcomed from Provincial and Territorial Sport Organizations, Table Tennis Canada Committees, as well as individual members, clubs, and communities within the Canadian Table Tennis community. Public nominations are encouraged and must be endorsed by the nominee’s Provincial or Territorial Sport Organization. The submission deadline for the 2026 awards is August 15, 2026. Recipients will be announced during the 2026 Table Tennis Canada Annual General Meeting.
