What and When: As an initiative of the Gender Equity and Equality Committee, a special training camp will be held in the Montreal region (St. Leonard) on Monday 10 January and Tuesday 11 January 2022, following the National Team selection tournament to be held on 7-9 January 2022 in Boucherville, QC (Greater Montreal Region).
Location: The camp will take place at the Quebec HP Training Center in Montreal (St. Leonard).
Participation: The camp is open to all female players participating in the national team selection tournament on 7-9 January 2022. More local players, female and male, may be invited if space is available.
Program: Table Tennis Training in the gym as well as off the table activities are planned. A detailed program and schedule will be provided after the registration deadline. In addition to table tennis training, there will be special sessions regarding NUTRITION and MENTAL HEALTH as well as social activities. The table tennis training will be conducted by TTCAN and FTTQ coaches.
Schedule: The Camp will start on Monday morning at 9 a.m. (10 January), with table tennis and other activities all day. On Tuesday (11 January) the camp will start at 9 a.m. and will end at 4 p.m. to facilitate the return of participants.
Costs: The camp costs (including hotel accommodation for 2 nights and transportation from hotel to the gym) will be covered by Table Tennis Canada through the Gender Equity Program budget. Meals will be at the expense of the players. A registration contribution of $50 is required for the 2-day camp.
